6. Creating A Technology Product Brochure
Use advanced formatting to include text and images that encourages someone to purchase a computer.
When purchasing any technology product, there are many different choices. Computers, for example, come in different sizes, work at different speeds, hold various amounts of memory, have different features and perform multiple tasks. As a consumer, you should compare and contrast several different products before making a purchase. It is important to know about the various features of a product to determine which product best meets your needs.
For this project you will use the Internet to research the features of two computers. You may want to compare a laptop with a desktop or one brand with another brand.
1. Download and complete the “Computer Terms and Comparison Handout." You must fill in all of the information and answer the question below the table. This will be collected!
2. Research Computer Terms - use the sites below:

Use the Tech Terms Dictionary to research the terms you have to define.

Use the Computer Dictionary to research the terms you have to define.

Use the Webopedia to research the terms you have to define.

You can also type "Define:_____________" (type the word you are looking up in the blank spot) in the Google search bar.
3. Research Computer Features - use the sites below:
4. Download the Brochure Outline as a guide for the layout of your brochure. This document will tell you what information to put in each part of your brochure.Once you have compared the features of the two computers choose one of the computers and create a brochure designed to market that computer. Your brochure must contain information from your Computer Research Comparison Table.
5. Download the Blank Brochure document. This is a document that contains 3 columns. You will need to add text boxes and graphics to each of the six panels to create your brochure.
6. Print and Glue your Brochure together. When you print your brochure, it will be on two pages. Glue the two pages back to back and fold the papers into a brochure. Be sure to hand in your brochure and your Computer Research Comparison Table. Your Done!
